Adelaide Part Two

On Sunday we took the bus to Mount Lofty to discover a bit more of the surrounding area of Adelaide. We could have hiked up there, but managed to skip that part by taking the right bus, which is not that easy - I find the public transportation system in Adelaide is quite confusing. The view over Adelaide was pretty cool, but it was so cold an windy up there that we just took some photos and then grabbed some coffee at the Mount Lofty Summit Cafe. Afterwards we walked down the hill to Cleland Wildlife Park to pet some kangaroos, which are so unbelievable fluffy.

* Those lovely photos were taken by Valeska - I think she should specialize in photographing animals, because these pictures are pretty amazing. Thanks for letting me share them on my blog, sweety!

Into the wild - Part Three

On the third day of the tour we climbed Heart Attack Hill at Kings Canyon before sunrise, which was so worth it. It is so stunning to see the rocks starting to shine bright red. We walked through Kings Canyon for a few hours, had lunch afterwards and then headed back to Alice Springs, where we ended the trip with a fun night out at the Rock Bar (actually we ended up at the casino in ASP, well... )

Thanks to everyone who joined this trip - it was definitely one of the best experiences in my life so far! :-)

Into the wild - Part Two

On the second day of the tour we got up very early and drove back to Uluru to watch the sunrise and have breakfast there. Afterwards we headed to Katja Tjuta and went hiking there for 3 hours. I liked this day of the tour the most - the scenery was impressive. I just cannot understand why the Uluru is so famous and most people have never heard about Katja Tjuta. Sleeping outside on the second day was so cozy - it was a lot warmer, but unfortunately the sky was covered with clouds so that we could not see the stars again, instead Valeska and I saw a Dingo that night at our camping site, which wanted to grab our rubbish (insert excitement here!).
